Cork is an extremely ductile, natural material that offers excellent performance for thermal and acoustic insulation. In our catalogue you can find different solutions: from coats to natural paints to natural cork based plasters.
100% NATURAL
The conglomerate of expanded cork is a 100% natural material made from the bark of cork, then reduced into granules, overheated and compacted into blocks, using only the suberine as a bonding element and aggregator of the granules.
RECYCLABLE
It is compostable, reusable and 100% recyclable.
INACTABLE
Cork is unalterable over time. It is resistant to 10% hydrochloric and lactic acid, citric acid, benzene and ethyl alcohol. It is unassailable by water, insects, rodents and is chemically neutral. It resists the action of hydrocarbons and can be used on hot bitumen. It is not damaged by exposure to UV rays.
THERMOACOUSTIC INSULATION
Excellent thermal insulation properties (thermal conductivity λ: 0.037 W/mK) and specific heat (1.67 KJ/Kg °K). High sound absorption values over the entire sound frequency spectrum, with particular effectiveness at low-medium frequencies.
FIRE RESISTANT
Euroclass E material: fire resistant, does not produce toxic fumes and is self-extinguishing.
FLEXIBLE
It can be used for the thermo-acoustic insulation of walls and roofs with internal and external overcoat and cavity system. The "brown" cork panel is an incomparable material that can also be used in bio-architecture for the uniqueness and stability of its characteristics.
